Big Brother Africa: The Chase, winner Dillish Matthews had broken up with her long term boyfriend, Stephen. Now in a Valentine’s Day interview with the Namibian Sun, Stephen Gaeseb reveals that the reason why they broke up was because he had been sending flirtatious texts to a Nigerian woman who had been responsible for Dillish’s Big Brother campaign.

He also revealed that their relationship ended in December 2013.
He said,
We flirted via text messages and so on. I mean all guys flirt, it doesn't mean you intend on acting on it. She then sent a snapshot of our conversations to a friend of Dillish, who eventually sent it to Dillish. We had an argument about that, which led to an argument about other things and we both said some things that we wish we didn’t. After that we decided to break-up and haven’t been together since December.
During the interview he dismissed rumours that he had gotten another woman pregnant. To prove he’s innocent, he said anyone that could produce evidence that he had gotten another woman pregnant, would get N$100 000 from him. If a woman came forward and proved she was pregnant with his child, she would get N$150 000. Stephen doesn’t have any hard feelings towards Dillish though, he came to her defense against people who claimed that she dumped him because she is now rich.
He said,
“It wasn’t about money. It’s just that we both agreed that we are better apart. Dillish isn't just physically beautiful, she is also amazing and I respect her,”
When he was asked about the rumours making the rounds that Dillish is dating Nigerian singer Flavour N’abania, he said, “I doubt Dillish is seeing Flavour, but if she is, then it won’t be to spite me. Dillish isn’t a spiteful woman. It’s not her kind of thing.”
