Done deal: Ivan Gazidis the Arsenal CEO and Bjoern Gulden the CEO of Puma shake hands on the partnership
And PUMA CEO Bjoern Gulden says: "I would not be surprised if in summer we're working with the defending champions
Arsenal have confirmed PUMA will be its official kit manufacturer from July this year in a deal described as the biggest in the club's history.
And in a statement likely to please the club's supporters, PUMA CEO Bjoern Gulden said: "I would not be surprised if in summer we're working with the defending champions."
As Mirror Sport exclusively reported last summer, the Gunners will be £30m-a-year better off because of the partnership - worth £150million in total over five years.
Speaking about the significance of the partnership for the club, chief executive Ivan Gazdis added that the deal represents "another important step forward in Arsenal's progression on and off the pitch".
Ivan Gazidis, chief executive officer at Arsenal said: "We are excited to be partnering with PUMA, a company whose football heritage and record of innovation have a strong affinity with our own."
He added that "the money is available to the club from this summer".
The move ends a 20-year association between the Gunners and previous manufacturers Nike.
A statement on the club's website said that as well as producing the club's kit, "PUMA has acquired wide-ranging licensing rights to develop other Arsenal branded merchandise on a global basis".
But what will next year's shirts look like? Here are some of those that have been "leaked" online.
